**Patna, Bihar:** Patna Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the X account “Khan Global Studies,” linked to popular educator and YouTuber Faizal Khan, better known as Khan Sir, for disseminating false information. The FIR stems from a post on the account demanding Khan Sir’s release, despite him never having been arrested.
Police officials clarified that the post was misleading, baseless, and intended to incite confusion among students. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Dr. Anu Kumari stated that Khan Sir visited the Gardanibagh police station voluntarily and was subsequently dropped off near Atal Path at his request. While images and videos circulating online show Khan Sir in a police van, police maintain he was not under arrest.
This incident unfolded against the backdrop of ongoing protests by civil service aspirants in Bihar, who are demanding changes to the normalization process used in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) preliminary examinations. Khan Sir had publicly supported these protests. His visit to the police station, amid the heightened tensions and police action against protesters, fueled speculation leading to the false reports on his arrest.
Khan Sir was hospitalized on Saturday for dehydration and fever, adding another layer to the developing situation. The 70th BPSC Preliminary Examination is scheduled for December 13th. The police investigation into the false claims made by the “Khan Global Studies” X account is ongoing.
