**Konark, Odisha –** Two sand artists from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have won national awards at the 14th International Sand Art Festival in Konark, Odisha. Revelli Shankar from Karimnagar, Telangana, created sculptures of Lord Balaji and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, earning him recognition at the five-day event which concluded Thursday. He was joined by fellow artist Vatupalli Gopichandu from Andhra Pradesh. Both artists received the “Konark Sand Art Award” in the national category. The festival featured international sand artists and provided the opportunity for the winners to meet renowned Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik.
