**Cairo, December 5, 2024** – Amnesty International has issued a damning report accusing Israel of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip during its ongoing conflict with Hamas. The report, released Thursday, alleges that Israel’s actions, including deadly attacks, the destruction of vital infrastructure, and the blockade of humanitarian aid, constitute a deliberate attempt to destroy the Palestinian population.
Amnesty argues that these actions cannot be justified by Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, nor by the presence of militants in civilian areas.
