**Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh:** Police in Azamgarh district are on high alert on the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition, Friday. Various organizations commemorate the day as either a “Shaurya Diwas” (Day of Courage) or a “Kala Diwas” (Black Day), leading to concerns about potential unrest.

To maintain peace, the police have held peace committee meetings across all police stations. Attendees were urged to uphold peace and harmony. In Rajapur, the station’s in-charge, Manoj Singh, announced the division of the area into four zones with a mobile team monitoring the situation. Local officers have been instructed to maintain heightened vigilance. Community members were appealed to cooperate in preserving peace and respect all religions in line with the constitution. Similar meetings were also held in Sarthuwa, Mau, Pahadi, Markundi, and Bargarh police stations, emphasizing interfaith harmony.
