Wed Dec 04 18:52:38 UTC 2024: ## Bengaluru Bans Early Morning Shows of Highly Anticipated “Pushpa 2”

**Bengaluru, India (December 4, 2024)** – The release of the highly anticipated Telugu film “Pushpa 2: The Rule” has hit a snag in Bengaluru. The Bengaluru Urban District Deputy Commissioner has ordered the cancellation of all midnight and early morning shows (3 a.m. and 4 a.m.) scheduled for the film’s release on Thursday, citing violations of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964.

The Act mandates that the first show of any film cannot begin before 6:30 a.m. Approximately 40 single-screen cinemas in Bengaluru were affected by the order, and management has stated that ticketholders will receive refunds.

Starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, “Pushpa 2: The Rule” is a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster “Pushpa: The Rise.” While “Pushpa 2” is not the first film to violate the early show timings, the Deputy Commissioner’s action highlights the ongoing enforcement of the 1964 Act. The film is set for a worldwide release.
