**Kochi, December 5, 2024** – The Kerala High Court has directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax (IT) department to submit a statement regarding the investigation into the Kodakara black money case. The order follows a writ petition filed by Santhosh P., a witness in the case, who alleges that the investigation is progressing too slowly.
Santhosh P., the 50th witness in the police case, claims that despite the investigation commencing in 2023, neither the ED nor the IT department has filed a complaint or closure report with the Special Court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. He argues that the departments are not conducting a proper investigation. The High Court’s directive requires the agencies to respond to these allegations.
