**Hyderabad, December 5, 2024** – Telugu film actor Allu Arjun, his security personnel, and the management of Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad are facing charges following a stampede during the premiere of his film “Pushpa 2” on Wednesday night. The incident resulted in the death of a woman and serious injuries to her son.
Police have filed a case against the actor, his security team, and theatre management, charging them with culpable homicide not amounting to murder and voluntarily causing hurt. Central Zone DCP Akanksh Yadav stated that the theatre management failed to inform authorities of Allu Arjun’s arrival and neglected to provide adequate security measures or separate entry/exit points for the actor and the large crowd gathered. He alleges that the actor’s security personnel exacerbated the situation by pushing people, leading to a surge into the lower balcony area.
A thorough investigation into the incident is underway, and authorities have promised stringent action against all those responsible for the tragedy.
