**Mumbai, December 2, 2024** – The renewable energy sector experienced mixed trading on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) today. While several stocks saw gains, others experienced declines, highlighting the sector’s volatility.
Waaree Energies led the gains, with shares closing up 2.47% at ₹2,733.65, reaching an intraday high of 4.8%. The company’s market capitalization stands at ₹78,655.27 crore. Other notable gainers included Premier Energies (up 1.9%) and NTPC Green Energy (up 3.53% to ₹129.25, a 19.6% increase from its listing price). Adani Green Energy also saw a modest increase of 2.5%.
However, not all renewable energy stocks fared well. ACME Solar Holdings experienced a significant drop of 3.39%, closing at ₹265 apiece. The company reported a 60% decline in net profit to ₹15.29 crore in the second quarter of FY25, compared to ₹38.63 crore in the same period last year. Revenue also fell by 19.7% to ₹260 crore. The stock opened at ₹800 and hit an intraday high of ₹807 before closing lower.
