**Kolkata, December 4, 2024** – Tamil Nadu secured its place in the semifinals of both the boys’ and girls’ divisions at the National Youth Basketball Championships in Howrah. The boys’ team defeated Uttar Pradesh 66-55, fueled by strong performances from Aakash L. (20 points) and Priyadarshan A.R. (19 points). They will now face defending champion Rajasthan, who beat Punjab 76-67.

The Tamil Nadu girls’ team also advanced, overcoming Gujarat 81-55 to set up a semi-final matchup against Kerala, who defeated Rajasthan 74-38. Other notable results included Karnataka’s victory over Telangana (80-61) in the boys’ division and Maharashtra’s win against Punjab (81-37) in the girls’ division. The championships continue.
