**Vijayawada, December 4, 2024** – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced a significant push for the integration of drones into various state government services. Following a demonstration of multi-purpose drones by a Bengaluru-based company on Tuesday, the Chief Minister directed officials to explore their use in security, traffic management, healthcare, sanitation, and disaster relief.
The demonstration showcased drones capable of real-time traffic monitoring, security flaw identification, and public announcements. Naidu envisions a broader application, including using drones for medicine delivery in remote areas, improving village sanitation, mosquito control via pesticide spraying, and forest fire monitoring. He stressed the importance of public awareness campaigns to highlight the benefits of this technology. The initiative aims for widespread drone deployment across all government departments. Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana and other officials were present at the demonstration.
