Guntur, Andhra Pradesh: A housewife from Guntur has filed a complaint with the ASP, alleging that a YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader has been raping and threatening her for two years. The woman claims the leader, identified as Deverakonda Nageswara Rao alias Omkar from Vengallapalem, used nude photos and videos he secretly took to blackmail her.
According to the complaint filed on Monday, the YSRCP leader initially befriended the woman after a theft at her betel leaf business. He then allegedly used his political connections to threaten her, demanding Rs. 4,000 daily and repeatedly raping her. When she could no longer afford the payments, he allegedly brutally assaulted her.
The woman also alleges that the YSRCP leader orchestrated multiple attempts on her husband’s life, including a scooter accident, an attack with iron rods, and an injection incident. She stated that the YSRCP leader threatened to kill her, her husband, and their family members if she reported the crimes.
ASP Supraja has responded to the complaint and ordered the immediate arrest of the accused. Police have initiated an investigation into the serious allegations. The accused is facing charges of rape, blackmail, assault, and multiple attempts of murder. The investigation is ongoing.
