MARADU, INDIA – The Maradu Municipality recently distributed safety equipment to sanitation workers as part of its “Namaste” initiative. The initiative focuses on improving the safety of those handling septic tank waste. A recent camp was held for these workers, following which the municipality prepared a detailed project and distributed the necessary safety gear. The distribution ceremony was inaugurated by Municipality Chairman Antony Ashamparambu, with Health Standing Committee Chairperson Rini Thomas presiding. Several other municipality officials and council members were also present.
