**Jaipur, December 2 (VARTTA):** Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairawa on Monday reviewed preparations for special events marking the state government’s first anniversary. The review meeting, held at the Secretariat, covered preparations by the Higher & Technical Education Department, Transport & Road Safety Department, Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, and the Ayurveda Department. Dr. Bairawa emphasized the need for effective public outreach to highlight the government’s achievements and schemes under Chief Minister Bhanwarlal Sharma’s leadership, ensuring maximum public benefit.
Separately, Jaipur’s Shalby Hospital hosted a program updating medical professionals on the latest techniques for treating joint problems. Meanwhile, the 51st India Gems & Jewellery Awards (IGJA) ceremony took place in Jaipur, attended by Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group. Twenty-four awards were presented.
In other news, the state bird of Rajasthan, the Great Indian Bustard (Godawan), is reportedly migrating to Pakistan. The reasons cited are the increasing number of solar power plants in the birds’ natural habitat, the shrinking grasslands and forests, and growing human interference in the desert regions of Jaisalmer.
