**Beed, Maharashtra:** Residents of Hasnabad village in Dharur taluka, Beed district, have begun a hunger strike protesting the stalled construction of a road under the Chief Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana. The road, connecting Hasnabad to State Highway 232, had been approved and work was underway when some farmers allegedly intentionally obstructed the project.

Following the obstruction, villagers submitted a memorandum to the Tahsildar on October 27th, threatening a hunger strike if the road was not cleared within two days. However, with no action taken by the Tahsildar, the villagers commenced their protest on October 29th. Despite the cold weather, the hunger strike continues as the Tahsildar has reportedly ignored their pleas. The villagers demand immediate resumption of the road construction.
