Sun Dec 01 23:04:37 UTC 2024: ## Skoda Kusiq: India’s Cheapest 4-Meter SUV Opens Bookings December 2nd
**NEW DELHI** – Skoda India’s highly anticipated Kusiq, touted as the cheapest 4-meter SUV in the Indian market, will officially open bookings on December 2nd. The company will also unveil the pricing for all variants on this date. Deliveries are slated to begin January 27th, 2025.
Launched earlier this month with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹7.89 lakh, the Kusiq will compete with established players like the Maruti Brezza, Maruti Fronx, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra CUV 3XO, and Nissan Magnite. Positioned below the Kushaq in Skoda’s portfolio, the Kusiq will be available in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige.
The Kusiq boasts impressive dimensions: 3,995 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, and 1,575 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,566 mm and a ground clearance of 189 mm. A standout feature is its class-leading 446-liter boot space, expandable to 1,265 liters with the rear seats folded.
Currently, the Kusiq offers only a single engine option: a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine generating 115hp. While a 6-speed manual transmission is standard, the mid-spec Signature variant will not offer a 6-speed torque converter automatic option. Skoda claims a 0-100 kph acceleration time of just 10.5 seconds.
