Sun Dec 01 13:22:12 UTC 2024: ## Pakistan Post 165/4 Against Zimbabwe in T20 Thriller

**HARARE –** Pakistan posted a competitive 165/4 against Zimbabwe in their T20 encounter, despite a slow start from their openers. While the top order failed to convert promising starts into substantial scores, a series of cameos and handy contributions from the middle and lower order propelled them past the 160-run mark. Tayyab Tahir and Irfan Khan spearheaded a crucial late-innings partnership, with Tahir smashing several boundaries in a quickfire knock. Irfan Khan also contributed significantly with some impressive boundary hitting.

Zimbabwe’s bowling attack struggled, with the pacers proving expensive, although Raza offered a more economical and effective performance, taking a wicket. Blessing Muzarabani, who conceded several boundaries, appeared to suffer from cramps during his spell. Zimbabwean captain Wellington Masakadza acknowledged the slow pitch but expressed confidence in his team’s ability to chase down the total, stating, “The pitch is a bit slow at times and a bit up and down. I think we did well to restrict them to 165. You need to change your pace in T20 cricket. I think we can chase it down.” The second innings is set to begin shortly.
