**NEW DELHI** – Contrary to the usual bank holiday on the second and fourth Saturdays, banks across India remain open today, November 30th, as it is the fifth Saturday of the month. This follows Reserve Bank of India guidelines which dictate that banks operate on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays (when applicable), excluding public holidays.
While branch services are available, customers can also access digital banking services – including ATMs, online banking, and UPI platforms – for transactions 24/7, except for bank holidays and weekends. Online banking also allows for investments in FD, RD and other schemes.
A list of upcoming bank holidays in December has also been released:
* **December 3rd:** Banks closed in Goa (Feast of St. Francis Xavier)
* **December 12th:** Banks closed in Meghalaya (Pa-Togan Nengminja Sangma)
* **December 18th:** Banks closed in Meghalaya (Death Anniversary of U So So Tham)
* **December 19th:** Banks closed in Goa (Goa Liberation Day)
* **December 24th:** Banks closed in Mizoram, Nagaland, and Meghalaya (Christmas Eve)
* **December 25th:** Banks closed nationwide (Christmas)
* **December 26th:** Banks closed in Mizoram, Nagaland, and Meghalaya (Christmas Celebration)
* **December 27th:** Banks closed in Nagaland (Christmas Celebration)
* **December 30th:** Banks closed in Meghalaya (U Kiang Nangbah)
* **December 31st:** Banks closed in Mizoram and Sikkim (New Year’s Eve/Losong/Namsoong)
