Sun Dec 01 08:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Semi-Truck Overturns on Highway 4, Shutting Down Stockton Road

**STOCKTON, CA** – A semi-truck carrying flammable molting sulfur overturned on Highway 4 near Tracy Boulevard in Stockton this morning, causing a major traffic disruption. The incident, reported around 8:30 a.m., has completely shut down the highway.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver, who sustained injuries but is expected to survive, was traveling at 45 mph when the truck veered off the road while making a turn. While not exceeding the 55 mph speed limit, CHP officers attributed the accident to unsafe speeds given the foggy and wet road conditions.

A hazmat crew is currently on the scene to address the spilled molting sulfur, a highly flammable material. The CHP urges drivers to avoid the area and check online traffic logs for updates. [Link to interactive traffic map]
