Sun Dec 01 03:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Vegas Golden Knights to Honor Cancer Fighters During Game Against Utah
**Las Vegas, NV** – The Vegas Golden Knights (15-6-3) will face off against the Utah Hockey Club (9-10-3) on Saturday at 7 p.m. at T-Mobile Arena, a game dedicated to Hockey Fights Cancer. The matchup will feature a special tribute to cancer fighters and survivors, with guests from several local organizations in attendance.
Friday night’s 4-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets saw Ivan Barbashev extend his point streak to five games with two goals, while Jack Eichel moved into seventh place in Golden Knights history for most points (195). William Karlsson also played his 700th career game.
Saturday’s game will include numerous initiatives to support the cause: fans can create and donate cards to patients, Hockey Fights Cancer merchandise will be available for purchase, and a special auction of game-worn jerseys will benefit Cure 4 The Kids and Zo’s Bravehearts Foundation. The auction will be live online and in person at the arena. Dasherboard ads will be in lavender to show support.
Several Golden Knights players are nearing career milestones, including Brett Howden (two games from 200 with Vegas), Jack Eichel (five points from 200 with Vegas), and others. The Knights are undefeated against Utah this season (2-0-0). Utah, currently sixth in the Central Division, is coming off an overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers.
Coach Bruce Cassidy emphasized the team’s renewed focus after returning from a long road trip, hoping to maintain the energy for a successful back-to-back. A win would mark the franchise’s 328th victory and extend their home record to 10-2-0. The game will be broadcast on Vegas 34 and streamed on KnightTime+.
