**Chennai, India** – Cyclone Fengal made landfall on the Tamil Nadu coast between Karaikal and Mahabalipuram around 2 am on December 1st, 2024, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and significant disruption to the region. Tragically, three people were electrocuted in rain-related incidents in Chennai, including a migrant worker near an ATM. Schools and colleges remained closed in Puducherry and several Tamil Nadu districts. Fishermen were advised not to venture out to sea. The cyclone also caused a drop in temperatures in Bengaluru.
