**Los Angeles, CA** – Sony’s “Kraven the Hunter,” starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, finally claws its way to theaters this December after a series of significant delays. Originally slated for January 2023, the film’s release has been pushed back multiple times, raising concerns about its potential box office performance.

The film, directed by J.C. Chandor, is the latest in Sony’s Spider-Man villain origin story franchise, notable for its absence of Spider-Man himself. The repeated delays, however, may have significantly diminished the film’s marketing momentum. Initially, the R-rating was a potential draw, but with the success of “Deadpool & Wolverine” and the underperformance of “Joker: Folie à Deux,” the novelty has worn off, potentially leading to audience fatigue.
