**Bengaluru, India –** Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has officially entered the Indian electric scooter market with the launch of two new models: the Activa e and the QC1. The Activa e, a battery-powered version of Honda’s popular Activa scooter, features a swappable battery system and boasts a range of up to 102 kilometers on a single charge, with a top speed of 80 kmph. It offers three riding modes: Standard, Sport, and Economy. The QC1, designed for shorter commutes, utilizes a fixed 1.5 kWh battery and offers a range of 80 kilometers on a single charge, with a top speed of 50 kmph. It includes features such as a 5-inch LCD instrument panel and a USB Type-C port.

Both scooters will be manufactured at Honda’s plant near Bengaluru. Bookings open January 1st, 2024, with pricing to be revealed at the same time. The scooters are expected to be available in the first half of 2024. The Activa e and QC1 will compete with existing electric scooter models from TVS, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj, Ather Energy, and Ola Electric.
