**Narayanpet, Telangana –** Twenty-two students from a government school in Telangana’s Narayanpet district were hospitalized on Tuesday after experiencing headaches, stomach aches, and vomiting. The incident occurred at Zilla Parishad High School in Maganoor following the consumption of the mid-day meal. While over 400 students ate the lunch, only 22 fell ill approximately three and a half hours later.
Authorities are investigating whether the illness is linked to the school lunch, which included potatoes and brinjal. Some students reported the vegetables were undercooked. However, the investigation is also examining the possibility that snacks purchased from outside vendors may have contributed to the illness. Samples from both the school lunch and the outside snacks have been collected for testing.
This is the second such incident at the school this month. On November 20th, seventeen students were hospitalized after consuming a mid-day meal. District officials are conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the illnesses. All affected students have received medical treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.
