CHENNAI, INDIA – Mahindra & Mahindra today unveiled two new electric vehicles, the BE.06 and the XUV.e9, marking the company’s third major launch of the year. Built on the INGLO platform, these vehicles boast industry-leading lightweight, flat-floor skateboard architecture and feature 20-inch alloy wheels.
The BE.06, priced at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai), and the XUV.e9, priced at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai), are touted as driver-focused, offering a range of premium features. These include a 100cm wide cinemascope digital cockpit integrating the instrument console and infotainment system, ambient lighting, UV-protecting glass, a smart air purifier, and a sunroof. The vehicles also feature a high-end Harman Kardon 16-speaker sound system, usually found only in luxury cars.
Safety is a key focus, with seven airbags, frontal and side crash protection, an emergency locking reactor, ADAS Level 2 safety features, and all-wheel disc brakes. The vehicles also offer drive assist technology, connected car technology, HD streaming, multiple displays, and three driving modes: Range, Everyday, and Race.
Both EVs utilize a 79 kWh LFP battery pack, promising a real-world range of over 500 km on a single charge. DC fast charging capabilities allow for a 20-80% charge in just 20 minutes. The cars also boast a substantial 663-liter boot space. Deliveries are scheduled to begin between February 25th and March 25th.
The BE.06 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, while the XUV.e9 achieves the same speed in 6.8 seconds. Mahindra now has three electric vehicles in its portfolio. This launch follows the earlier releases of the Mahindra 3XO and Mahindra Thar.Rox this year.
