**COIMBATORE, Tamil Nadu, November 23, 2024** – Communist Party of India (CPI) State Secretary R. Mutharasan has called for the arrest of Jaggi Vasudev, founder of the Isha Foundation, and a thorough investigation into allegations against the organization. Speaking at a protest organized by the National Federation of Indian Women in Coimbatore on Saturday, Mr. Mutharasan accused Isha of constructing a cremation facility on its premises during the AIADMK’s tenure, allegedly using benami properties of an AIADMK minister.
He questioned the silence of the BJP MLA, who heads the party’s women’s wing in Coimbatore, given the ongoing protests by women from across the state. Mr. Mutharasan urged the ruling DMK government to launch an inquiry into alleged illegal activities at Isha, including the alleged forceful acquisition of land from tribal communities. He further demanded the return of these lands and the reunification of women and children residing at Isha with their families.
Additionally, Mr. Mutharasan demanded the arrest of Gautam Adani and all officials and politicians implicated in a US court bribery case, vowing that opposition parties will raise the issue in Parliament.
