**Chennai, November 23, 2024** – Following the release of the state rank list for postgraduate medical admissions in Tamil Nadu, the Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research, has directed candidates to contact the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for any queries regarding the list.
The committee’s notification explains that the State requested raw scores and other data from NBEMS to adjust for Tamil Nadu’s policy of adding incentive marks for in-service candidates to NEET PG scores. However, NBEMS declined to provide this data, instead requesting the state rank list. After the state submitted its list, NBEMS prepared the state-wise merit list, factoring in the two-shift examination format and percentile scores.
The Selection Committee emphasizes that NBEMS is responsible for the final state merit list and urges candidates to contact the board directly for clarifications.
