**New Delhi, November 23, 2024** – Seven individuals have been arrested in Noida for operating a large-scale fake passport syndicate, police announced Friday. The accused are alleged to have created over 500 counterfeit passports.
The arrests followed an investigation initiated when police attempted to verify the addresses of two passport applicants and discovered fraudulent documentation. Charges against the suspects include counterfeiting, criminal conspiracy, and violations of the Passport Act (Sections 342 (1)(2), 61, 3(5), and 12). The investigation is ongoing.
