**Mumbai, India –** Samsung’s Research and Development Institute in Noida (SRI-Noida) and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) announced a five-year partnership focused on collaborative research in artificial intelligence, digital health, and other key technological areas. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed on November 21st, will facilitate joint research projects, enabling IIT Bombay students and faculty to work alongside Samsung engineers. The collaboration aims to foster knowledge sharing, leading to the publication of joint research papers and driving technological advancements.

The MoU was signed by Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director of SRI-Noida, and Prof Upendra V. Bhandarkar, Associate Dean of Research and Development at IIT Bombay. Prof Bhandarkar emphasized the partnership’s commitment to innovation and creating opportunities for students and faculty to engage with industry. The initiative is expected to significantly boost research capabilities and contribute to the growth of both institutions. Faculty from IIT Bombay’s Koita Centre for Digital Health were also present at the signing ceremony.
