**Mumbai, November 23, 2024** – Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has accused the BJP of manipulating the Maharashtra assembly election results, alleging a “big conspiracy” behind the Mahayuti’s landslide victory. Raut specifically implicated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and Gautam Adani, claiming the results don’t reflect the will of the people.
Raut questioned the BJP’s projected win of over 200 seats and the performance of allies like Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, stating that the MVA’s significantly lower seat count is suspicious. He asserted that the ground reality indicated a far different outcome, and that the results are “not a mandate of Marathi ‘manoos’ and farmers,” but rather a manipulated outcome bought by the Adani group.
The MVA, a coalition of opposition parties, had projected a much higher number of seats based on its ground campaign. Raut’s allegations are likely to intensify political tensions following the election results. The BJP is yet to respond to these accusations.
