**Mumbai, India** – Netflix’s highly anticipated second season of the suspense thriller “Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein” has arrived, and it’s everything fans hoped for and more. The series returns with heightened suspense, adding thrilling action and romance to the mix, garnering significant positive social media buzz and praise for Tahir Raj Bhasin’s performance.
Season 2 picks up where the first left off: Vikrant (Tahir Raj Bhasin), having hired Jalan (Arunoday Singh) to kill Purva (Anchal Singh) to be with Shikha (Shweta Tripathi), finds himself in a deeper mess as Purva is kidnapped instead. Now, with Shikha marrying another, Vikrant must save Purva before the truth comes out, all while facing a resurrected enemy who wants him dead and Purva for himself. Adding to the complications is the arrival of Purva’s ex-boyfriend, Guru (Gurmeet Choudhary), introducing a new layer of intrigue.
The season explores themes of love, hate, and betrayal. Vikrant’s true love for Shikha contrasts sharply with Purva’s obsessive affection for him, complicated further by Purva’s return and kidnapping. The series culminates in Vikrant’s arrival at Shikha’s wedding, only to discover she has already married, forcing him to confront his choices and his past.
Created by Sidharth Sengupta, with contributions from writers, filmmakers, and actor Varun Badola, “Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein” Season 2 promises to be even more gripping than its predecessor. The question remains: Will Vikrant find love, and can Gurmeet rescue Purva from Jalan’s clutches?
The first season premiered on Netflix on January 14, 2022. Season 2 is now streaming. (Note: The unrelated portion about Maharashtra’s political climate has been omitted as it is irrelevant to the review.)
