Thu Nov 21 08:13:38 UTC 2024: ## UP Police Constable Results Finally Released: 174,316 Candidates Advance to Next Stage

**Lucknow, UP –** The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has finally released the results for the highly anticipated Police Constable recruitment exam. The results, available on the official website uppbpb.gov.in, were announced after a slight delay from the initially projected end-of-October release date.

A record-breaking 48,17,315 candidates, including over 630,000 from other states, competed for 60,244 constable positions. Following a rigorous process which involved normalizing marks from the ten-shift exam and considering reservation policies, approximately 174,316 candidates (2.5 times the number of advertised vacancies) have been shortlisted to proceed to the physical standard test and document scrutiny. All candidates scoring the cut-off marks have been included.

The exam, conducted in two phases between August 23rd and 31st across 1,174 centers in 67 districts, faced some controversy, prompting the board to drop 25 disputed questions from the final answer key. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had previously announced the results would be released by the end of October.

Candidates can access their results using their registration number and date of birth on the UPPRPB website. Those selected will move on to the Physical Endurance Test (PET), requiring a valid ID, passport-size photo, and a printout of the e-admit card. The website experienced temporary access issues following the announcement.
