**CHENNAI, November 21, 2024** – Chennai police are investigating the death of a 61-year-old man, Sugu, who succumbed to injuries sustained during an assault on Sunday night. Sugu, a Kerala native residing near Santhome High Road, was found assaulted while sleeping after consuming alcohol. Two unidentified individuals fled the scene after the attack. Passersby alerted the Mylapore police, who rushed Sugu to Government Royapettah Hospital. Despite medical attention, he died on Tuesday. The Mylapore police are actively searching for the suspects.
