**Chennai, November 21, 2024** – An 18-year-old Nepalese national, Akash, died after suffering an electric shock while cleaning a restaurant in Saligramam, Chennai, on Tuesday night. Police reported that Akash, employed as a cleaner at the establishment, came into contact with a live switch box socket with wet hands. Fellow employees discovered him unconscious and rushed him to Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The Virugambakkam police are currently investigating the incident.
