Thu Nov 21 16:50:42 UTC 2024: ## Exit Polls to Offer First Glimpse into Maharashtra and Jharkhand Election Results

**Mumbai/Ranchi, November 20** – As voting concluded today in Maharashtra and Jharkhand’s assembly elections, anticipation mounts for the release of exit polls, expected to offer early indications of the election outcomes. These polls, conducted after voting ends, will provide estimates but are not official results.

In Maharashtra, a fierce battle is underway between the ruling Mahayuti alliance (BJP, Shinde-led Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar’s NCP) and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance (Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP)). In Jharkhand, the ruling JMM-led INDIA bloc is vying to retain power against the BJP-led NDA.

Axis My India, one major pollster, announced it will release its independent exit poll results for both states, after increasing its on-the-ground presence to improve accuracy following discrepancies in previous predictions. Results will be available online and on social media after 6 PM today.

While exit polls will generate considerable interest and provide initial insights, it’s crucial to remember they are projections based on surveys, not definitive results. The official election results will be announced later.
