**NEW DELHI** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board examinations. The exams will begin on February 15th and conclude on March 18th for Class 10 and April 4th for Class 12. Approximately 44 lakh students from nearly 8,000 schools across India and abroad will be taking the exams.

The CBSE website (cbse.gov.in) hosts the detailed timetable, released a full 86 days in advance – a 23-day improvement over last year’s release. The schedule is designed to avoid exam clashes, considering over 40,000 subject combinations and the timing of entrance exams. Significant gaps between major subjects are incorporated to aid student preparation.

Class 10 exams will commence with English on February 15th and conclude with Mathematics on March 10th. Class 12 exams begin with Entrepreneurship on February 15th. Key subjects like Science (Class 10) and Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (Class 12) are strategically spaced.

Most exams will be held in the morning shift (10:30 am to 1:30 pm). Students need a minimum of 75% attendance to be eligible. Enhanced security measures include mandatory high-resolution CCTV cameras in schools.

The announcement follows the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP)’s release of its 2025 board exam schedule (February 24th to March 12th). The CBSE aims to provide a smooth and efficient examination process for all students.
