**Seoul, South Korea** – Hyundai has officially launched its flagship electric SUV, the Ioniq 9, boasting impressive dimensions, a spacious interior, and a long driving range. The three-row SUV, set to rival the Kia EV9, will first launch in South Korea before heading to the US and other international markets.

The Ioniq 9 is a substantial vehicle, measuring 5,060 mm long, 1,980 mm wide, and 1,790 mm high, with a sizable 3,130 mm wheelbase. This translates to generous interior space, offering both six- and seven-seater configurations. Cargo capacity is rated at 620 liters, expandable to 1,323 liters with the third-row seats folded. A front trunk (frunk) adds extra storage, with 88 liters in the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) model and 52 liters in the all-wheel-drive (AWD) version. Exterior features include a distinctive bulbous front end with parametric pixel LED headlights, upright LED taillights, and 19-inch alloy wheels (with 20- and 21-inch options available).

Inside, the Ioniq 9 pampers passengers with 1,899 mm of headroom and 2,050 mm of legroom (second and third rows combined). Second-row seats swivel, allowing occupants to face each other. A versatile central console slides up to 190 mm, offering 5.6 and 12.6 liters of storage space. Tech features include dual 12-inch touchscreens, multi-zone climate control, roof-mounted air vents, and an 8-speaker audio system (upgradeable to a 14-speaker Bose system). Safety is prioritized with 10 airbags and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

Powering the Ioniq 9 is a 110.3 kWh battery pack, providing a claimed WLTP range of 620 km for the RWD model. Fast charging capability allows for a 10% to 80% charge in just 24 minutes using a 350 kW charger. The RWD variant delivers 218 hp and 350 Nm of torque, while the AWD version adds a front motor boosting output to an unspecified horsepower. The top-spec AWD model sprints from 0-100 kmph in 6.7 seconds.
