**NEW DELHI** – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday released its first list of 11 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, scheduled for before February 2025. The list includes several recent additions to the party, with six candidates joining from rival parties – three each from the BJP and Congress.
Among the notable candidates are Anil Jha (Kirari) and Veer Singh Dhingan (Seemapuri), both former members of other parties. Other candidates include Brahma Singh Tanwar (Chhatarpur), Deepak Singla (Vishwas Nagar), Sarita Singh (Rohtas Nagar), BB Tyagi (Laxmi Nagar), Ram Singh Neta Ji (Badarpur), Zubair Chaudhary (Seelampur), Gaurav Sharma (Ghonda), Manoj Tyagi (Karawal Nagar), and Sumesh Shokeen (Matiala).
The selection reflects a strategic shift in some constituencies. Brahma Singh Tanwar replaces former AAP MLA Kartar Singh in Chhatarpur, while Veer Singh Dhingan takes over from Rajendra Pal Gautam in Seemapuri, both of whom have left the party. The announcement also features two fresh faces in Manoj Tyagi and Gaurav Singla. The remaining seats will be filled in subsequent lists.
