**NEW DELHI, November 20, 2024** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the dates for the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board examinations, a full 86 days ahead of schedule. Exams for both classes will commence on February 15, 2025.
This marks a significant improvement over previous years, with the datesheet released 23 days earlier than the 2024 schedule. The CBSE attributes this early release to the timely submission of Location of Centers (LOC) by schools.
Class 10 exams will begin with English, while Class 12 exams will start with Entrepreneurship. Practical examinations for Class 10 will be held from January 1, 2025, and for Class 12 from February 15, 2025. Class 12 practicals will be overseen by external examiners, while Class 10 practicals will be conducted by school teachers.
The CBSE has also previously detailed the mark distribution for theory, practicals, projects, and internal assessments.
