**BERHAMPUR, Odisha:** In a heartwarming display of dedication, a 108 ambulance staff member in Odisha’s Rayagada district went the extra mile to ensure a sick villager received timely medical attention. Due to impassable roads, the ambulance was forced to stop 3km from Ereganda village. Seikh Bukhari, a 108 ambulance staff member, then personally carried Purnachandra Praska, the ailing patient, to the vehicle. Praska, who had been ill for several days, was transported to Kalyansinghpur hospital and subsequently to the district headquarters hospital, where his condition is now reported to be stable. The incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by villagers in accessing healthcare due to poor road infrastructure in the region.
