Tue Nov 19 13:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Beloved Car Show “Roadkill” Ends After 12-Year Run

**LOS ANGELES** – After 13 seasons and 12 years of wild automotive builds and camaraderie, the popular car show “Roadkill” has been cancelled. Host Mike Finnegan broke the news on Reddit, confirming that the recently completed Season 13 will be the show’s last.

“Roadkill,” known for its inventive custom car projects like the turbo Ford Mustang V-8-powered Rotsun and the rotary-powered Mazdarati, garnered a devoted following since its 2012 YouTube debut. The show later moved to Motor Trend on Demand and eventually Discovery+.

Finnegan attributed the cancellation to the shutdown of Motor Trend’s production company, stating that no specific reason was given for the closure. While the future of the “Roadkill” brand remains uncertain, Finnegan expressed pride in the show’s accomplishments. He also noted that the cancellation follows the recent ending of other Motor Trend series, including “Dirt Every Day,” “Hot Rod Garage,” and “Engine Masters.”

Despite the show’s conclusion, fans can still find Finnegan and co-host David Freiburger creating automotive content on their individual YouTube channels. While the “Roadkill” era has ended, the spirit of its inventive projects and engaging hosts will continue.
