**Bengaluru, November 19, 2024** – The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced the commencement of the postgraduate (PG) medical seat allotment process for the current academic year. The seat matrix and fee details are available on the KEA website.

Eligible candidates can exercise their option entry preferences from 2 p.m. on November 20 to 4 p.m. on November 22. Mock seat allotment results will be released on November 23, with a window for modifying option entries from 4 p.m. on November 23 to 4 p.m. on November 25. The final first-round seat allotment results will be declared after 8 p.m. on November 26.

Successful candidates must select their seat choice (Choice-1 or Choice-2) between November 27 and November 29 and pay the fee by December 2. Choice-1 candidates must submit original documents at the KEA office and collect their admission order between November 28 and December 2, reporting to their allotted colleges by 5:30 p.m. on December 4.

A total of 6,310 PG medical seats are available across 63 colleges, with 3,882 allotted through KEA, including 2,428 under the all-India quota.

Separately, the online seat allotment for stray vacancy rounds for unfilled undergraduate (UG) medical seats (two seats) and leftover dental seats (35 seats) began on November 19. Candidates allotted seats in this round must report to their colleges by 5:30 p.m. on November 29. Detailed schedules and fee information are available on the KEA website.
