**Warangal, Telangana, November 18, 2024** – The Telangana government has officially approved the Master Plan 2041 for the Kakatiya (Warangal) Development Area, marking a significant step in the region’s urban development strategy. The plan, covering 1,805 sq. km across 181 revenue villages, will guide growth for the next two decades.
Developed by the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA), the plan incorporates land use zoning and development regulations. The process included extensive public consultations, technical reviews, and discussions with district officials. A draft plan, released in 2018, underwent a 90-day public comment period before final government approval.
The Master Plan 2041, published today in the Telangana Gazette, is now in effect. Copies will be available for public inspection at the KUDA office and other prominent locations in Warangal. The plan adheres to existing building and municipal land development regulations, providing a framework for responsible urban expansion in the Kakatiya region.
