**EL PASO, TX** – Miss Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, made history last night as the first Nigerian delegate to place in the top five of the Miss Universe competition, finishing as the first runner-up. The crown went to Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig.

In an emotional Instagram post following the event, Adetshina expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support she received from Nigeria and the African continent. She revealed that the support was crucial during difficult times, stating that her countrymen gave her the strength to continue when she felt ready to give up.
