**MEXICO CITY** – Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark has been crowned Miss Universe 2024. The 21-year-old beat out 125 contestants from around the world at the 73rd edition of the pageant held in Mexico on Sunday. She received the crown from the reigning Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios of Puerto Rico.
Chidimma Adetshina of Nigeria was named the first runner-up, and Maria Fernanda Beltran of Mexico secured the second runner-up position. Ria Singh of India participated in the competition but did not advance past the top 30.
