**Hyderabad, November 16, 2024** – Nara Rammurthy Naidu, brother of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and father of actor Nara Rohit, passed away on Saturday afternoon at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad following a heart attack. He had been reportedly unwell for some time and was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The news of his death prompted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to cut short his Delhi trip and immediately return to Hyderabad. His son, Nara Lokesh, also flew from Amaravati to Hyderabad. Family members from both the Nara and Nandamuri families rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news.
Naidu served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Chandragiri constituency from 1994 to 1999, representing the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). His passing comes just weeks before the scheduled wedding of his son, Nara Rohit, to Siri Lella.
Funeral arrangements are planned for Sunday in Naidu’s native village, Naravaripalle. Tributes are pouring in from political and film personalities across the state.
