**COIMBATORE, November 16, 2024** – A 42-year-old man, P. Elangovan, was murdered in his home near Karumathampatti on Friday evening. Police report that three unidentified assailants entered his residence in Vagarayampalayam around 6:15 p.m. and attacked him with bladed weapons, before fleeing the scene. Neighbors alerted the Karumathampatti Police, who transported Elangovan’s body to a government hospital for an autopsy. Early investigations suggest Elangovan may have been involved in the illegal ambergris trade, a possible motive for the killing. Police are continuing their investigation.
