**Johannesburg, South Africa:** India set a new record for the highest ever T20I score by any team on South African soil, amassing a staggering 283/1 in their second T20I against the hosts. This monumental total was fueled by breathtaking unbeaten centuries from Sanju Samson (109 off 56 balls) and Tilak Varma (120* off 41 balls).
Samson’s innings, punctuated by six fours and nine sixes, marked his third T20I century in his last five innings – a feat which includes two dismissals for zero. This makes him the first batter globally to achieve three T20I centuries in a single calendar year.
