**Prayagraj:** The ongoing protest by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) aspirants in Prayagraj entered its fifth day today. Despite the commission’s attempts to resolve the issue, the students have rejected their proposed solutions, including holding the PCS Prelims exam in a single day and forming a committee to review the exam format.
The students have demanded that the upcoming RO/ARO exam be postponed and a separate committee be formed to address their concerns about the exam format. They are adamant on their demand for a two-phase exam and claim that the current proposals are not addressing their concerns.
The students have also expressed confidence in their ability to secure victory in the first phase of the exam. They now plan to focus on the next phase of their struggle, which they consider to be the “final battle.”
Meanwhile, the UP government has announced plans for the upcoming Kumbh Mela in 2025, which will take place in Prayagraj. The Mela will be spread across 67 villages in four tehsils, and the administration has started making preparations for the event. The Mela will feature cultural performances from across the country, showcasing everything from Banarasi sarees to South Indian sculptures.
