**Vijayawada, November 15, 2024:** Andhra Pradesh IT Minister N. Lokesh launched a scathing attack on the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Thursday, accusing them of insulting his mother in the Legislative Assembly. Lokesh said he couldn’t remain silent while his mother was dragged into the political fray and subjected to personal attacks.
Responding to YSRCP MLCs who claimed that his father, former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, fled the Assembly during the YSRCP regime, Lokesh asserted that the entire family was deeply hurt by the derogatory remarks. He stated that Naidu, unable to bear the insults, walked out after vowing to return as Chief Minister, a promise he fulfilled after the NDA alliance victory.
Lokesh further criticized the YSRCP’s social media wing for targeting not only his family but also Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s mother and sister, highlighting a double standard in their behavior. He accused the YSRCP leaders of hypocrisy, pointing out that while they criticized the TDP for “escaping” the Assembly, their own MLAs have repeatedly done the same.
Lokesh demanded an explanation from the YSRCP for their actions, emphasizing that while the TDP remained respectful of the families of political rivals, the YSRCP has shown no such restraint.
