Fri Nov 15 18:27:07 IST 2024: ## Haryana Pacer Anshul Kamboj Makes History with 10-Wicket Haul in Ranji Trophy

**Rohtak, Haryana:** Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj etched his name into the history books of the Ranji Trophy, becoming only the third player to achieve the elusive feat of taking all 10 wickets in an innings.

Kamboj’s stunning performance came against Kerala at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli, Rohtak. He claimed 10 wickets for 49 runs in 30.1 overs, dismissing Kerala for 291 runs on the third day of the match. This incredible feat was achieved in his 19th first-class appearance, where he also reached the milestone of 50 wickets.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah lauded Kamboj’s performance, calling it “an excellent exhibition of pace, bounce, and aggression”. He also acknowledged the historic achievement, highlighting that Kamboj joins an exclusive club with Premangsu Chatterjee (10/20 in 1956) and Pradeep Sunderam (10/78 in 1985) as the only other bowlers to accomplish this feat in the Ranji Trophy.

Kamboj’s incredible bowling display included dismissing Basil Thampi and Shoun Roger in quick succession on the third day, after he had already picked up eight wickets on the second day. This stunning achievement comes after his impressive performance in the Duleep Trophy in September, where he picked up 8-69, becoming only the third pacer to record an eight-wicket haul in the tournament.

With this historic performance, Anshul Kamboj has not only cemented his place in the annals of Ranji Trophy history, but he has also established himself as a force to be reckoned with in Indian domestic cricket.
